Cactus

i figured i'd show my favorite plant. it's the first plant i've bought for myself that hasn't died! haha. really. i've bought tons over the years but they all failed. i think it's due to the fact that they were in the front yard and nothing lives in the front yard except bushes, vines, and our magnolia tree. and the fact that i actually take care of it. well, there's not really much to taking care of it but i do love it! haha. i bought my cactus in may after seeing it in ikea of all places. i came home with five plants (two succulents, three cacti) and re potted all of them. the two at the bottom are ones i bought for my sister and the one cactus in the back is my favorite. aww it was so cute! haha.
so, it grew really well and fast. eventually it got too big to share a pot so i moved it into it's own.five months later he's still growing and looking good. i just noticed he's branching out again! I'm excited to see it grow really tall, but i know that's a while away. i can wait though! he's survived three hurricanes so far (well, one rain storm, one nothing, and one spent safely inside) and hopefully he'll survive for a long, long time.
