back to normal

we're slowly getting back to normal here in houston. it's kinda hard to do when we have a curfew and a lot of people still don't have power. but it's starting to feel like fall and that helps cause it's my favorite time of year. the pumpkins are ready to be carved and the stores are filled with costumes! a couple weeks ago i saw this cute idea of updating the classic storybook characters over at Creature Comforts. the first one she did caught my eye cause it was little red riding hood. I've been trying to be red riding hood for halloween for like two years but our plans always fall through. others were inspired too, so they sent her their updates! i'm so in love with this idea, and i was inspired to actually create one of the outfits they put together. Dorothy's outfit was updated by Meghan to a blue and white plaid shirt, dark blue jeans, blue headband, and red shoes. i noticed that i had most of those things and decided to actually put it together! all i needed was the plaid shirt so i went to gap and found one. so today as we visit all the musuems for free thanks to Ike i'll be an updated version of Dorothy! haha. i'm even debating braiding my hair like dorothy. the next look i really like and want to create is down the rabbit hole and the snow white look.
kinda simple. this is what i wore, with the sleeves on the tshirt rolled up.
