fall decorations

i almost went crazy yesterday because i had nothing to do. the day before i cleaned the house and the only thing left that i wanted to do was decorate the house for fall/halloween. it wasn't even october yet so i felt silly being all early with my decorations. usually i'm the one who's laughing at my friends cause they want to decorate the house for christmas in november! haha. i decided maybe i'd just look online and see if something inspired me so i could write it down and do it later. looking at martha's website and pottery barn i couldn't wait any longer. so i ran around the house looking for things that screamed fall. at first all i found was some candles. i arranged them together but that was so boring cause it's what we always do. then i found some branches in the garage that my mom kept from our old willow tree. so i switched out some vases and created thisthe leaf candle holder is from target. before i found the branches i gave up and went there looking for decorations. i didn't really like anything but i got the leaf candle holder and some skull tapered candles for the entry way. for the bottom i used dead cat grass that i had just cut(haha) and some little pine cones i found.
at the pottery barn site they had a lot of ceramics with fall fruit, so i found a ceramic sugar dish (i think) and put some dried fruits i found in it in the entry way.now i just need to find the wreath i made last year (and hope it hasn't fallen apart) and then i'm done with decorating till it gets a little closer to halloween. i'm gonna steal ideas from martha, and hopefully not go too crazy!
oh and i baked some blueberry muffins (this blog is soo inspiring and makes me completely jealous of her photography and decorating skills. seriously soo jealous!) they look like cupcakes, but at least they're yummy! haha.
