oh how i hated you when my mom brought you home. yeah, your flowers are intricate but i thought they were weird and i just wanted a plant with cute little pink flowers. then you spread. like crazy. took over our magnolia tree, and all of our bushes. finally, we had to cut you back to fix the house and you subsided. just a few bunches of you remained and you refused to flower. then, all of a sudden i saw monarch butterflies hanging around outside. that's when my museum training kicked in! you're their host plant of course. now we have tons of tiny caterpillars (and one huge one!) eating you up. i gotta say passion flower, i kinda miss your invasiveness and weird flowers. i wish you would invade again and take over this new weed that likes to throw berries at my car. it doesn't make butterflies like you do. to sum things up, thanks for being there passion flower and making my day better with baby caterpillars, pretty butterflies and weird flowers.
