memorial park
i'm waiting for the basketball game to start and i'm extremely bored so i figured i'd post something since i haven't in a while. recently, my friend and i have been trying to go around town to practice our photography. we've been meaning to get out to memorial park to see what it's like for a while. well, we braved the rain last weekend and found an oasis! i had no idea that memorial park was such a big retreat from the normal urban scene of houston. we drove around in awe finding a bunch of tennis courts that we plan to take full advantage of, a pool with a huge slide!, and a great place to run. we decided we wanted to find the arboretum and nature center. we found it and took off on some trails. it was so great to discover a whole different(beautiful!) part of houston. here's a couple pictures i took on the trail. more on my flickr.
