ideas
i'm in charge of redoing my mother's bedroom so i've been bookmarking inspiring pictures. the color scheme is kind of weird because i'm trying not to buy anything new for the room. she has a bright red bed spread, a black desk and bookshelves, dark brown bed frame and dresser (that i loveee) and a light brown amoire. the biggest decision right now is the floor and i'm stumped. all i know is no carpet!
i like the gold. i think it would look really nice with the red and the wood. i wouldn't paint the walls pink, but i've been thinking of pink as another main color.
i like the grey. and i want either a really big piece of art (which i'll make) for above the bed, or a wide mirror.
i love the red mirror. that's the color of her bed cover.
i love the pink curtains. i'm afraid they might end up looking tacky or too girly. but maybe!
i'm going to make this lamp! i don't know how yet, but there's a part of our old gazeebo that i think i can make into it. i haven't tried anything yet, but in my head it works!

Good luck with your projects! Sounds like fun! I like the idea of the gray walls with the red accents...maybe some white and black mixed in...very sophisticated!
